Report Cards Going Online

Starting in the 2017-18 school year, Temple ISD will no longer send home printed progress reports and report cards. Report cards and progress reports will be available through Family Access. You will be able to find these documents under the Portfolio tab in Family Access. Progress reports and report cards will be available on the Wednesday following the end of the grading period.

If you would prefer to receive a hard copy of the report card, you must fill out a request form. These forms are available through the office on your child’s campus.

Don’t have a Family Access account set up yet? Family Access is a secure web service that allows the user to view attendance, grades, assignments, vaccinations, schedules, and more. Students can log onto Family Access with their TISD login and password. Family Access is provided by TISD as a free service and will be available to all parents with children enrolled in the district. To request a Family Access account, contact your child's school.

Freedom Walk

Cater students will join schools across the nation to celebrate Patriot’s Day by participating in a “Freedom Walk” around the neighborhood of our school. Students are asked to wear red, white, and blue. We will sing a few patriotic songs, get a walking buddy and an American flag, and then head out to walk around the neighborhood block. Here is the schedule:

8:00-9:00 Kindergarten & 5th
9:10-10:10 4th & 1st and Steffen’s class
10:20-11:20 3rd & 2nd

Classes will meet in the gym before starting their walk. We need some parent volunteers walk with us to help supervise the students as we walk around the block. If you want to walk with us, all you have to do is sign in at the office, get your visitor’s badge, and meet us in the gym.

TISD Bus Information

Looking for your child’s bus stop location and times? You can find all of that information in Family Access. Temple ISD will no longer do a phone call home with this information. Instead, we encourage parents to look at your child’s bus schedule in Family Access. You will find the bus information under the Student Info button (View Bus Schedules).

Please remember, on the first few days of school buses often run later than scheduled as children and drivers get used to their routes. Some children will accidentally board the wrong bus at the end of the school day, and some children will accidentally get off at the wrong stop. When this happens, please do not panic. Instead, speak with your child’s bus driver or school administration. They will notify transportation dispatch and personnel at other stops (this generally happens when a large number of students exit the bus at an apartment complex). You will be kept notified, and will have the option of picking up your child, or having your child brought to you.

Also, beginning the first day of classes, Temple ISD Transportation operates a Misrouted Student Center at the Transportation Department. The purpose of the center is to provide a safe and central location for students who are still on the bus at the end of their route or were mistakenly placed on the wrong route. For more information, please visit the Temple ISD Transportation Services website.
